Rijiju's Intervene Has Eased Stranded Transporters To Reach Their Destination Through Tense Zones Of Nagaland and Manipur

The economic blockade on NH-2 highway by Nagaland that posed to become a dreaded threat to traders and alike for one month above is soon reviving back to its normal picture after Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju made his intervention to meet Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh to make strategy for effective outcome to curb the scenario of violence between two states.

According to Rijiju violence and road blockade are not the ways to oppose against declaration of new districts by Manipur government and highlighted that he had come down to draw the line of law and order in the present tensed Nagaland and Manipur states. It is on the account of greater interest of the people to restore peace and business activity the Center will deploy 150 companies of para military forces to remove blockades imposed by the Naga groups from the NH 2 and NH 37 national highways.

If Naga populated Sadar Hills which Ibobi Singh planned to make full fledged district along with Jiribam would have been declared so if the inhabitants of Nagaland would not have shown strong agitation and resilience. Even certain Manipuri groups are not happy about the declaration of new districts like Noney, Tengoupal, Kakching, Pharzol, Kangpokpi and Kamjongin by the Manipur government.

CRPF personnel were implemented on the two lifelines of Manipur to escort stranded goods trucks and oil tankers to Imphal destination, bringing relax to curfew in East and West districts of the state.
