Charm of monkeys disappears when they start to vandalize in group terrorizing people out of wits, especially farmers of Himachal Pradesh on whose behalf its government has planned for their translocation to Northeast where Nagaland threw protest.
Nagaland government already has problem from elephant menace for which they had to place foot forward as a resistance to further menace from nature with monkey proposal from Himachal.
In contrary to Himachal's plan for translocation of their monkeys which had kept its farmers terrorized and loss to their farm productivity, the Nagaland government turned their part of table towards them to curtail their elephant menace.
Moreover Nagaland government pointed out that this monkey relation won't work in Nagaland as it does not have a suitable habitat for them and may affect their behavior pattern.
Nagaland Chief Wildlife Warden Satya Prakash Tripathi on this ground has forwarded a letter to Himachal government with mention of rejection of the proposal.
