It was last month when Assam Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal announced that tea workers' salary will be soon released once their accounts get activated by SBI.
But down the line SBI has to prepare account for huge fresh figures of 5, 2016 tea employees which was not possible through limited staff of bankers to observe.
As per to the government's deadline the State Bank of India should activate 5, 2016 fresh accounts for tea employees within December 5, 2016 so that salary could be drawn on from December 15.
