started with Olympic euphoria by Tripura's little lady the gymnast Deepa
Karmakar who clinched fourth rank at Rio following with south-east Asia
economic extension through border route opening, railway route extensions, zero
militancy activity and later national literacy rate topper score.
Though
there were few turbulence relating to natural calamities and political
indifference, otherwise 2016 came with a favorable ending for Tripura. Even Chief
Minister Manik Sarkar acknowledged the fast improvement in the state who had mentioned
about implementing certain policies for greater development and welfare of the
state. The information technology department had a pivotal in curbing
insurgency's adverse impact and driving the state to a new height of peace and
progress. Apart from it Tripura employment figures have improved this year.
