Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma the Assam Public Expenditure Accountability Act is

session.
Apart from installation of twenty one new
polytechnics in twenty one districts, the authority of Assam will transform the
colleges of Bihpuria, Barpeta and Hojai to university outlook. Additional major
education plan like installation of three engineering colleges in Guwahati, Engineering
Colleges, at Karimganj will be initiated. Research and free wireless internet
connectivity will be sanctioned in college libraries.
International outlook education system will
be implored stated by the Finance Minister by laying foundation of a South
Asian Study Centre at Gauhati University. Financial aid of Rs 1,000 lakh after
three years will be sanctioned to Srimanta Sankardev University including power
to Chair in nation’s top five universities.
