Nagaland Designers are Favored Ones for International Red Carpet Eves

In the fashion cult, Nagaland designers have been able to create their identity, be it in the red carpet eves of legendary city Paris, France or Bollywood of India, names like Niapa, Atsu Sekhose, Bendangla Subong, Ikali Sukhalu and Bambi Kevichusa are prominent in celebrity’s list of desired designers.

Be it Cannes Film Festivals, Miss World or Miss India, designers of Nagaland are favorable in the list of high profile people from the entertainment industry. It’s is no joke, names of Bollywood icons like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Khan have included Atsu Sekhose, the top Nagaland designer to brand their looks on the red carpet eve. It won’t be wrong to say Atsu as North Eastern Textile and Crafts ambassador from Nagaland.

Polished fashion designer like Ikali Sukhalu who has aced her skills in designing from renowned international institute like London College of Fashion, contributed her major works to milliner Katherine including Black Taxi exhibit in Mumbai and New York’s Couture Week, 2015.

Designers from Northeast India Academy of Performing Arts (NIAPA), Nagaland who had created ‘MOI’ label collection, fetched major attraction at Cannes in France, Salon Croisette and The Majestic Barriere. Moreover NIAPA is influencing many in Nagaland for red carpet dress designing. According to Nagaland’s top designer, Kavili Kiba, the fashion lovers instead of distressing traditional Naga elders with their display of western dress codes thinking it as Los Angeles won’t help. Better contribute their fashion skills in designer’s eve. Kavili had made attempt in Nagaland fashion shows which encourages talented to display red carpet standard dress collection. Nagaland today has taken fashion beyond its land border to ace in the fashion domain like Paris, France including rest competitive platforms.
