Northeast The Next Big Thing In Japan’s Investment List

Since 2003 the Japanese government has topped financial aid in India under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) where currently Northeast’s multiple states have become a top priority.


Surpassing China, today Japan rules the show as it tops investor’s list in India where in latest Northeast infrastructure development projects are under taken by it. Northeast is privileged to have reliable investor like Japan has undertaken

 

Latest, Japan is supporting India’s Dhubri Phulbari Bridge development project and Phulbari, Meghalaya over Brahmaputra River. Through ODA. India endeavors to ease out collaborative research and dialogue between two nations by setting up a Japan centre at ICRIER (International Council for Research on International Economic Relations).


Since having the largest and continued relationship with India from 2010 and 2020 this rise in support has further enhanced investment from Japan of JPY 3,1 trillion. In this biggest project of Japan includes varied ranges of infrastructure projects relating to connectivity projects in north line.
