Manipur
Tourism has set a new sense of inspiration to Northeast Tourism marketing strategy
with the fetch of the ‘Best State For Promotion Of Festival & Fairs Award’ for the
first time at 12th annual edition of Today’s Travelers Award 2018 event in New Delhi under Domestic Tourism
category.
All the
states of NE region are slowly picking up the pace and Manipur’s marketing strategy
can be a great inspiration to help this region to become India’s key economic
player by boosting enhanced technologies and infrastructures. NE Tourism still
requires time to edge up in promotional and marketing activities to boost its
dynamic role in strengthening nation’s economy.
Solid factor about
Northeast tourism is its picturesque destinations where even Union
Tourism Minister KJ Alphons admits and thinks it should be allowed to be more
accessible to garner greater tourist inflow. Manipur tourism department has far
gone to an extent to promote its state through extensive marketing and
advertising publicity campaign plus its excellent intrigue with media to capture
global network.
Manipur
Tourism’s dedicated job in entertaining tourist and promoting the state’s
values came to notice last year at Manipur Sangal Festival which helped it to
become as the favorite contender in winning this prestigious title.
This title was awarded by the chief guest
Ministry of Communication and Industry and Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu to Dr.
Sapam Ranjan Singh, Chairman Tourism Corp of Manipur Limited for the state’s superb
performance in entire sectors of hospitality tourism to entertainment
industries.
It was on the
account of multiple expert advisors and evaluator panel’s judgment this title was
declared. Manipur including other states of Northeast have the highest possibility
to map India as the third highest travel tourism travel economy with its
growing pattern of tourist inflow and development process. But still NE requires
massive infrastructure developments like hotels, restaurants and establish of
more route links for which Indian tourism is working in close collaboration
with minister for road transport and highways.
