This year tea production has evidently gone down due to flood devastation. The orthodox tea prices has improved with 11.40 percent growth with Rs. 237.38 per kilo. Assam CTC Tea (tear, curl and crush) are fetching prices of 13.80 % with Rs. 215.99 per kg. Significantly due to devastating flood the tea crop prices have shot up with sharp drop in productions from June to July month.
