The union government recently approved altogether 27 projects for 26 urban local bodies of Assam under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to construct 9.38 houses for its beneficiaries. The new approval was given at the 45th Central Sanctioning Monitoring Committee (CSMC) meeting of the PMAY conducted in New Delhi at Nirman Bhawan venue.
Total 237 projects had been approved by the Union government under PMAY with bear of Rs. 2416 core cost for establishing 80, 855 houses to the beneficiaries under this scheme. Already 30, 980 beneficiaries under PMAY scheme were directed with Rs. 425 corer initial through DBT (Direct Beneficiary Transfer) transaction mode. PMAY cent percent guarantees PFMS (Public Financial management System) implementation in beneficiary payment.
The state government has issued new notification to 25 development authorities involved in PMAY projects to coverage greater portions of Urban areas and help them outgrow through establish of houses.
