It was a grace for Assam to be a part of “Divya Kala Shakti” a disable children show in New Delhi to show case special ability to perform despite being intellectually handicap at Balayogi Auditorium in Parliament Library Building in front of none other than the Prime Minister and President of India.
“Divya Kala Shakti” event which is empowered to showcase the ‘Ability behind the Disability’ of physically and mentally challenged children under the Department of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities (Divyangjan), government of India.
What is more important about this reputed cultural event is that from Assam seven children with aid of three assistants from Ashadeep mental health society, Guwahati had performed Bihu folk dance despite being mentally challenged in front India’s top political dignitaries like the President of India, Prime Minister Narendar Modi, Speaker of Lok Sabha, Vice President and other renowned ministers. This is one of top event in India where speciallyable children from all aspects of the country are given the chance to expose their talent from creative to multiple aspects.
