Are the contractors looting Government’s money for years to present such degrading job like NH 31 connected flyover in Pathsala lower Assam with huge potholes after six months of its launch due to incessant rain?
Though the construction company who took the flyover contract was given notice by the Barpeta DC and Superintend Police to do immediate repairing job after thorough inspection. Interestingly the KMC construction company did not execute their repair job even after two months.
It was on public pressure the KMC Construction Company hurriedly patched the tattered portion of the Highway Road but still without quality outcome. According to a local if the flyover repair work lapsed for another month then due to heavy duty vehicles and incessant rain could make it further unfit for travelling as one can get injured under possible accident. It will be safe via alternative road to reach destination as the connected highway is extremely tattered due to rain.
Mahendra Pathak stated, “We had seen enough of this treacherous contractor who under the name of flyover kept the people strenuously awaited for 14 years to get it completed but by then lots of fatality cases had occurred and now nothing better future for us from it as it is unsafe travelling via that route. If the local bodies in power do not intervene then we cannot pass through this misery more.” It seems the contractors of this flyover looted the money by presenting poor job from both Congress and BJP government as it started way 14 years back.
