Assam Government Initiates Alternative Solution For Railway Development In Sensitive Zone


Environment friendly Deeper Beal  of Guwahati famous for its quality aquatic products has paced with growing development process like road connectivity via to airport, university and other main highways where railway track was introduced late in 1992 that became a nightmare for forest officials to keep elephants out of track.


Severity of flood havoc  has impelled the elephants and other wildlife animals to find greater sources of food for survival apart from highland search to get shelter. This in consequence has left the Railway authority in fix with growing protest from various wildlife associated groups to save elephants from increase toll in deaths.


So it has become incumbent for the government officials to make a meet with the indigenous people of Deeper Beal to find an alternative solution to extend crucial railway track networking in the region without intervening animals’ path when emergency strikes
