Radiation emitted from Mobile towers are harmful for human’s health where Assam Information Commission has made new set of rule under this factor to cease function of inappropriate and illegal infrastructures that violates legal terms and condition.
Usually mobile towers are allowed to install and function in commercial areas or open field areas but debars from residential areas according to Kamrup Metropolitan District’s norms. But the district administration has detected that certain government agencies entrusted for location review before passing NOC (No Objection Certificate) are not providing actual matters on the table due to which illegal mobile tower infrastructures have increased in non-permit areas. This illegal set up of Mobile towers have also affected in municipal revenue also apart woe to public due to which the authority has deactivated their function.
