Neelam Misra Arunachal Pradesh’s First Lady added Gem to the traditional base weaving community of its state the loin weavers by personally emphasizing them to enroll in the latest edge technology based Government e-Market Place or GeM digital sale option to garner greater market value prices for the efforts all given to boost region's textile economy.
Today the Fashion world circuit has high demand for Arunachal’s textile materials including its concept of weaving and unique pattern presentation due to which this digital GeM marketing option by the government has been positioned to ensure that state’s indigenous loin loom weavers get their fair price for their painstaking effort.
In this attempt Arunachal’s the First Lady has made her personal attempt by visiting the loin loom weavers’ home based workshops at Lower Niti Vihar Colony to ensure all support to them is provided to improve their productivity and improve their sale with introduce of subsidised loans, outlet arrangement for product sale benefit and training center expansion to involve many in skill development process for greater employment and self reliant opportunities.
This gigantic step was made by Arunachal’s First Lady in joint effort with the Union Cabinet Minister for Textiles Smriti Zubin Irani in last month February to understand the challenges of the local weavers to brand its product online through Government e-Market Platform or GeM to garner greater benefit.
