Union
Minister for Urban development HS Puri when reminded of last June’s proposed
work on smart city development during the recent meet with Meghalaya Minister for
Health and information A L Hek and
Minister for Urban Affairs Hamlet Dohling had urged them to create a full
project proposal for successful implementation of the metro scheme under which
varied development projects are also covered.
For
uninterrupted process of the smart city project in Shillong the Union Minister
suggested for better home work on it. Reproduce a sound proposal highlighting
on basic essentials like proper source of unlimited power, water and internet
supplement including e-governance and quality infrastructure setup for better outcome
of smart city project by the Union Minister.
The Union
Minister when reminded about 2018’s proposed plan to make Meghalaya’s capital
city Shillong as one of the 100th smart city assured on materializing this mega
dream project with estimate of Rs. 500 crores investment to each 100 listed
states.
