2018’s ‘Quality Tea Brand’ to Assam’s Nahabari tea of Tezpur district by HKTDC
International Tea Award in Honkong under
Black Tea (CTC) category on 16th - 18th August events, made India proud.
Nahabari Tea Estate’s
Director Sebastian KV revealed that apart form the prestigious title their tea
products were able to bag two runners up titles at PF and BP categories.
Interestingly on this tea estate which is managed under Tezpur Social Service
(NGO), Sonitpur district about 22000 farming families are dependant. The
Hardworking tea farmers have no issue of payment as it gets directly on to their hand without any involvement middlemen.
Assam’s
economy is basically dependant on the revenue of tea sales and global export
business where such occasion of international felicitation brings boost to the
spirits of multiple aspirant entrepreneurs in this lane of business.
