It is a new awakening call for Assam Police who have intensified its cyber search from 2018 for crime trace and
foil through social media domain which had remained long out of focus to make a
link to crime network and understand crime strategy.
Especially during 2019 election
phase from April to May have intensified Assam Police's job in social media
tracking for any trigger of any anti-social oriented comment to avert any kind of
untoward incidents and disruption in peaceful political campaign.
Criminals like illegal elephant trader Imran
Khan was caught through his famous facebook picture with Mukesh Ambani’s son.
Recently ONGC engineer was nabbed for posting comment in favor of ULFA leader
to help understand how Assam’s militants are making strategy to recruit in more
efficient people. Martyr Sunil Kalita wife's FB post helped to nab a
miscreant from Jammu involved in anti-social act.
Social media has become a
platform for miscreants to play with the mind of their prey and in directing
them to their world of crime and robbing them of their wealth and honor.
Especially people who are vulnerably weak fall prey to social media criminals.
So the Assam Police has taken a major initiative to make guardians aware that
their children stay away from social media to avert from becoming victim to
virtual criminals and remain shielded from being exposed to unknown threats.
Germany police has taken the best initiative
to lock down virtual crime through social media by making any suspicous account invalid within 24 hours time if threat is sensed far before. Many years
before the international police have started intensifying their tap on social
media to scheme out more criminals and to understand deeper virtual crime
networking. It is good Assam Police has paced up fast their job in tracking criminals through social media.
