Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion under the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has initiated NITI Aayog to formulate new industrial policy after close analysis of regional stakeholders’ position to ensure growth and benefits.
Objective of The Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) is to ensure that NE gets right investors for investments by introducing the new industrial policy norms in the region’s manufacturing and services sectors.
This new policy includes 100 per cent excise duty and income tax exemption clauses of NEEIPP 2007 scheme of Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) where there will be benefit of excise duty refund of 10 per cent.
The FINER president revealed that the latest policy is designed mainly to extend support to other states apart from Assam and Meghalaya who had benefited potentially from the NEEIPP 2007 scheme for more job generation and industrial units.
