Mizoram In The New Electric Move To Overcome Power Debt And Boost Supply


  
Mizoram entry as one of the 27th states to be privileged with Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana (Uday) a centre restructuring scheme to enable discoms (electricity distribution companies) to supply power at cost effective rate with better return to minimize debt encounter.


Expectation of return from Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana scheme implementation is estimated by power authority of Mizoram to be positively about Rs 30 crore. Under this scheme implementation there is estimation of reduction in disruption in energy efficiency, transmission loss, aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C).



This UDAY power scheme which is masterminded to reduce 75 per cent debt over Distribution Company, recently the government of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mizoram on 31st March, 2017 to execute the plan to improve power generation in the state and for maximum regional coverage debarred from power facility.
