Hails From Mumbai Makes Changes In Tripura's Crime Rate By Saptarishi


This dynamic revolutioner of Tripura police system is a young 37 years old IPS officer Abhijit Satarishi who originally hails from Mumbai was felicitated with highest honor as 'Policeman of the Year Award' where Sub-inspector Budhu Debbarma as the 'Best Investigator's Award' by state's Chief Minister Manik Sarkarat at Tripura Police Week - 2017.


Saptarshi implies innovative strategies to curb crime rate in his West Tripura Division where cases relating to illicit property rate dropped down to 17%, women crime minimized to 21%, accidental cases to 14 % including 31 cases of militants surrender. In 2016 the rates of militancy activities have calmed during IPS Saptarishi's control of Tripura’s West division.



Be it interstate, political or domestic crime rates the West and North Tripura police forces have shown much improvement to tap down increasing figures of illicit activities. According to DCP K Nagaraj the scale of FIR lodges have reduced to 16 percent.
