Priority On Roads And Drivers To Drive IOCL’s Gigantic Cross Border Fuel Mission


IOCL (The Indian Oil Corporation Limited) in their new advent has brushed up all clearance required for drivers to set on wheels in this gigantic mission to supply fuel in the longest route between from Guwahati via Tripura to Bangladesh.


Passport and Visa of Bangladesh all issued to the drivers including accompanied persons of the tankers. But in this task proper road condition is important which IOCL officials after thorough inspection had given clearance.


The Gas tankers will commence their journey from Guwahati, Betkuchi depot till Tripura’s Dharmanagar depot before taking turn to Bangladesh route which is estimated to fall 20 kms less in comparison to Assam and escalating Agartala highway.


On a return journey the tankers will take through plain route via Bangladesh through Meghalaya’s Dawki point before finally ending at Kailashahar point in North Tripura.

Payments will be processed as 1.02 Bangladeshi Taka for tonne per km inclusive of 200 Bangladeshi Taka for entry and exit charges. Limitation of tankers plying on Bangladesh roads is curtailed to 160 according to the MoU.


On top of it the company has to bear 1,500 Taka to Bangladesh for each vehicle. Issuance for these tankers to ply on these routes is valid till September month. Later after review on its success then re-allowance of the permit will be made.
