ICMR Targets Dimapur As the Next Destination To Roll Out Diabetes Study


The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) who in its major challenge to ease medical process in India will conduct Diabetes Study in Dimapur, Nagaland as a collaborative attempt with Madras Diabetes Research Foundation.


Currently in nation-wide the 'India Diabetes Study' is in the second phase which will be processed for nine months period in Nagaland by ICMR in association with the Department of Health and Family Welfare.



This study will be a compilation of hypertension, heart diseases including diabetes and pre-diabetes which will be processed on 8th September in Kohima district. Mainly it is to asses data provided on diabetes and pre-diabetes of the state to show how dietary habits impacts on health and causes this disease and finally solution to overcome it.
