Technology adapt in education system is today essential to access right
knowledge and broaden perspective to which Ramesh Chandra Jain, the Mission
Director of Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhijan (RMSA) at the ITE exhibition
cum-closing ceremony of the summer camp stressed on teachers to become techno
friendly.
Lamenting on
teacher’s lack of urge to adapt new skills of computer to apply it in
education, Jain mentioned that 3000
secondary teachers will be trained on computer skills by RMSA to ease their
teaching process through technology. Qualified teachers will be provided with certificates after completing the training.
To update on the role
of technology in this fast paced world, the IIT Guwahati will contribute in
educating the HS level Science teachers on it.
In this summer camp
there were 108 participants who were trained on usage of technology like videography and digital reading applications for pursuit
of effective education, derived from 90 schools placed in the districts of
Kamrup, Baksa and Nalbari of Assam.
Following this small
initiative to implement technology in education, a joint venture project will
be conducted in the similar field in 15 models schools, 25 upper primary and 50
secondary schools in the three districts by Tata Trust and Rashtriya Madhyamik
Siksha Abhijan along with Grammya Vikash Manha.
