Assam’s 39 % people are Likely to Bear Vat Burn

Local cigar ‘Bidi’ of Northeast made directly from tobacco in unhygienic process is estimated to be the main reason  for triggering fatal disease  like cancer in India due to which vat likely to be imposed on it.

Cheap rate tobacco content bidi is more lethal than cigarette as it does not have filter system. Consumption of tobacco made bidi products in Assam is 39% where annual death rate from it is 10,000 plus. 

 

In observance to serious turn of death rate in Northeast due to cancer, the government is likely to exercise Vat on bidi to avert poor category people succumbing to it.
