Hiren Bhattacharya’s Poetic Essence To Endure in Music Lovers in Video





Literary moghul Hiren Bhattacharyya (1932 – 2012) fondly remembered with reverence as Hiruda by Assam for deliverance of exceptional poetic works in Assamese dialect that won national accolades has for the first time his works entertained in music video as a tribute to the legend.

This is for the first time such innovate approach had been made by a recognized music team of members to bring hype to his work through album presentation with aid of couple of artists and singers to endure his brilliant essence in the memory of music lovers.


The video on Hiren Bhattacharjee’s poem Endharoloi Haat Meli Dilu, Kijani Tumak Pau was developed by Kausik Bora and Champak Kumar Deka where music director Abhijit Barman directed the songs which voice was lent by Hemanta Debnath.

This music video was unleashed by the club effort of aegis of the contemporary art Group (CAG) Enatrtainment, the production team ‘Hiren Bhattacharya  Trust’ in association of Cultural Affairs on the poet’s birth anniversary at Rabindra Bhawan in Guwahati, Assam. 

Magnetic  poetic works of Hiren or Hiruda that touched the hearts of Assamese music lovers are like Mor Desh aru Mor Premor Kobita (1972), Shoichor Pothar Manuh (1991), jibonor kothin shilot kota nirlohb bhaskarjya and Mur Prio Bornomala (1995).


Poet Bhattacharyya born in Jorhat district of Assam who has won prestigious literary titles to his credit like  Sahitya Akademi Award (1992) for 'Saichor Pathar Manuh' poem, Asom Upotyoka Sahitya Bota (2000), Soviet Desh Neheru Bota (1987), Baharatiya Bhasha Parishad Award (1993), Bishnu Rava Bota (1958), Rajaji Puroskar (1984-85) and Assam Valley Literary Award.
