A collective IMD (Indian Meteorological Department) data research on climatic change in various destinations of Northeast like Shillong, Gangtok, Guwahati, Cherrapunji, Imphal, Silchar, Pasighat and Dibrugarh reflects high rate in minimum as well as in maximum temperature.

Manipur’s Imphal capital city is adversely affected by the increasing trend of maximum temperature during monsoon which is affecting its agro system. Similarly Cherrapunji is affected during post monsoon. Except for Guwahati no states report increasing trend of rainfall during post monsoon in Northeast.

Drastic extreme temperature trend in Northeast is cultivating due to increase in deforestation and lack of emphasis in restoring earth’s greenery apart from increase in vehicle movements and infrastructure growth. If the green system that regulates our lifeline is neglected then it can bring adversities of Delhi’s polluted environment.

Assam is growing so is the necessity of people’s demand due to which APDCL is running short of sufficient power distribution as Durga Puja Pandals or Mandaps have increased intensively in multiple areas. Public earlier use to make intense complains on insensitive power cut woes which after long decades have been heard.

APDCL has gradually slowed its distribution of power in multiple pandals due to environmentalist’s intervention to curtail sound pollution and unnecessary power cut for wasting in lighting the Puja Mandaps when emergency areas remains debarred from its privilege. But now every Puja Mandap Communities have to apply for required energy levels and abide by lighting application norms as per to national standards for the safety of the visitors.
