UN Global Road Safety Week Assam Invites View From Students

RBI Extends Rs 2000 Note Clearance By 30 September

Softening from previous demonetisation process of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, Reserve Bank of India has taken the decision to stop current flow of Rs 2000 notes from economic circulation and directed for its clearance to the money holder till 30^th September.

In the context of ‘Clean Note Policy’ RBI has set up that Rs 2000 denomination notes that has been set up way back in November 2016 to remain effective till 30^th December, as already the bank has stopped its production. Holder of Rs 2000 notes has two options till 30^th November, either circulate in the market or deposit in the bank.
