Nagaland ILP Default Could Be a Costly Matter Of 1.2 Lakh Fine

Kohima district administration and Nagaland Police on severe control of Inner line Permit defaulters had directed 325 accused on charge with 1,2 lakh fine after intense verification drive under sections (2), (3) and (4) of the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation (BEFR), 1873.

Most identified defaulters were the cases of expiry ILP. Nagaland government to impose special task force for ILP verification where non-indigenous people will be targeted for default penalty.
