Today on 17th August when two different protest groups like the Asom Jatiyabadi Yuva Chattra Parishad and Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti had staged protest on academic changes and price hike were arrested and shifted in bus by the state police which is today a big question will Assam government would simplify the urge of the community in the same methodology in the future?
Skyrocketing prices of food and essential commodities have become a major issue of the Assam community which the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti had made a protest in the streets of Guwahati but were arrested and thrown into the bus even after strong resistance of the protestors.
Guwahati University student protest had been silenced in the same manner which occurred few weeks back. Students of Assam tried to protest against Guwahati University’s system but could not further process. The Asom Jatiyabadi Yuva Chattra Parishad when today with support of teachers protested on academic changes in Assamese medium school were also treated in the same manner as with KMSS. The teacher’s community shamed the government on such violent act by the Assam police, for every citizen in democratic country has the right to voice.
