Indigo airline services has executed air operation between Guwahati base and Pune base airport at 11 pm on Wednesday. The flag off ceremony was virtually conducted by Indigo’s Chief Strategy and Revenue officer Sanjay Kumar and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia including Queen Oja Assam Lok Sabha member.

Key issues of implementing this scheme is that the demand of private boats are high where larger boats are not equipped with marine engines and existent boats do not have the capacity to maneuver during emergency cases. So the government is planning to replace agriculture pumps, motorcycle engines and others with marine engine and for this upgrade will provide 70% of the cost to the private boat owners.
