Weather Menace Is The Biggest Criteria For Assam As 5.74 Lakh Affected

Second wave of flood could create such a scenario nobody ever assumed as always in Assam the first wave of flood use to create immense trouble to the population of the state where this time monsoon on second half became more threatening.

 

About 39, 831.92 hectares of crop came under the wrath of flood, keeping 1,278 villages submerged including many others annually. There are several cases of casualty to lives and damages to property.

The government need to prepare beforehand so that relief work could be done more effectively. Disaster management people used to reach the people but the affected ones do not like to leave behind their belongings. This is also the main factor for flood tragedy. Shortage of enough rescuers is also another big problem.   

Evacuation is on the process as 1, 029 people had been evacuated. Darrang and Lakhimpur remain to be the worst flood affected. Currently eighteen districts of Upper Assam had been severely hit by fkood water.  

Massive erosion reported from major parts of lower Assam, flood waters ravaging infrastructure, embankments, roads and communication joints, severing connectivity of various economic points and affecting supplies of goods to the affected people. Time to time irregular behavior of weather has remain to be the biggest criteria of Assam as of now total 5.74 lakh people are reported to be affected.
