Important complex Raj Bhavan of Guwahati city including 560 households and a hospital in a 200 metre radius of Kharguli hills is on the anvil as the threat of landslide looms as previous devastating rains have damaged the land due to which Assam government has initiated technical project to protect it.
The centre has already sanctioned financial aid for the technical support in conducting the project at the Kharguli hills area which is a crucial part of the city.
Technical study is on the process to protect the area from further damage by landslide where Rs. 54. 66 crore will be invested. Though the Centre cleared financially but the state government is yet to make a fool proof strategy to implement the project technically.
Prominent complexes like Borthakur Clinic and Raj Bhavan are on the brim of shifting after a year waitin assurance of the government. Now it is on the assurance from the government to install a strategic project with proper investment Raj Bhavan and many other crucial complexes are to extent their stay.
