Currently India is reeling under Delta Plus variant fear which is more advanced version of Corona virus as it quickly transmits rather than any variants from SARS-CoV-2 where Assam is currently out of it.
The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) found that Delta Plus variant is out of the scenario after research on current corona victims of Assam. Delta variant was first detected in India that developed with the second wave.
India SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortia (INSA COG) which is crucial in conducting genomic variant Delta Plus analysis in various segments of mortality and infected cases, currently has set up of 28 labs in India. Northeast’s Delta plus testing is conducted in Bhubaneswar’s Institute of Life Sciences for genome sequencing.
