Manipur introduces First Agro Quality Analysis Laboratory in
Northeast under the mission of integrated development of horticulture that is
headed by the state horticulture department where Agriculture researchers will
be for the first time able to get hand in experience in 50 advanced analytical
instruments.
It was at Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR),
Imphal division the First Agro based Quality Analysis Laboratory of Northeast
was facelifted where the organization’s primary objective is to make huge
quantity of food content analysis at a greater scale within short span.
Be it cereal, pulses, milk, meat or fish and others which
are manufactured and supplied are now could be tested and certified for
consumer use immediately when brought to the laboratory for analysis. Even new
freshly launched food products will be tested to be certified for use and also
will conduct training programs in the same complex to help youngsters in this
field to adapt the skills.
