In the mission to take the town of Sivasagar for a walk to drive its people on poll awareness based theme campaign ”Walk for Vote” by the Sivasagar Election District authority on 7th April is to grab in more voter’s participation during three Assembly segments polls to be conducted in the district.
Sivasagar Election District which to appear in the first phase poll on April 11 comes under Jorhat HPC and the rally 'Walk for Vote' is in the attempt to walk out to people in advance to guide them about the changes and process of getting enrolled in poll participation plus thereby highlight the advantages of securing their citizenship rights for safer future.

The rally will be processed in three phases that is to be held at four development blocks plus the Boarding field in Sivasagar including 62 Gaon Panchayats from 7th April that will be marked by Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at 7 am.
SVEEP already has undertaken 45,565 mock polls to bring 55,000 listed voters to awareness about the introduce of EVMs and VVPATs technology for secure polling system with the aid of i-help services through the Common Service Centres (CSCs) to execute a proper base of this event in the future.
In this “Walk for Vote” poll awareness rally participation from various sectors like senior citizens, Sivasagar district administration staff, traders' body members including general public to boost up poll spirit to spread proper awareness to encourage more poll participation from all arena.
