Meghalaya's Geospatial Third Eye Harvest Programming


Advanced based geospatial Space Tech measure to reduce trial experiments in best expansion of Boro rice farming through satellite image and data survey techniques the Meghalaya authority has taken this initiative in its tough hilly terrains under the state’s Directorate of Agriculture that is headed by the North Eastern Space Applications Centre.


It is in the best advent to track easily the areas suitable for Boro rice expansion through geospatial data information by satellite tracking and analysis with best  remote sensing Geographic Information modern tools the Agri department has taken this initiative with government’s assistance.


Under this Geographic Information Systems’ technologies for remote sensing includes varied parameters about soil, ground and climate to skip extensive field trial stages to save time and money effort in growing and expanding seasonal cultivation of Boro rice.
