To tap down miscreants involved in disruption of normal function in the state the police segment of Assam estimating improved strategy of protest warfare has high alerted the department’s superintendents patrolling its bases.
Recent step up of seventy different protester groups on Wednesday agitation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2019 in the state assembly has triggered high alert in Assam police departments of the entire state.
Holding on to the current situation the anxiousness is building high in common people as certain groups are engineering to take advantages of the situation to spark more furor and tension with inappropriate information leak in regard to the clause 6 of Assam Accord. The Union Minister of Home Affairs (MHA) in an initiative to bring in effect the 6th clause of the Assam Accord has called in for a nine member committee.
DGP (Special Branch) Pallab Bhattacharyya is concerned about mass misguide to follow into the footsteps of militancy as the outlaw militants are making favorable plots taking advantage of the situation and ignite protester for the slogan of independent Assam.

Presently Assam is empowered by centre with paramilitary forces derived from 150 companies for protection against NRC related violence if situation demand. Futuristic approach to counteract insurgency operations in the state can implement paramilitary operation if the centre sense possible threat relating to bill publication. The centre has empowered with paramilitary forces to undertake situation if threat arises during NRC (National Register of Citizens) related any announcement.
