Employment In Assam To Boost Dramatically With More Boost In Skill Development



Britannia Industry ignites hope of enhancing employment with launch of its mega project in Northeast, Assam, India with deal of Rs. 1.7 billion to process their highly edged plant to boost its productivity. Currently Britannia has already tasted its double success with fetch of Rs. 6 billion revenue from its two projects implementation in the state.


The recent plant of Britannia is to boost its famous line of food products like biscuits, croissants, dairy products and cake. Likely women employment is to hike with new plan of 1000 jobs opening at Britannia’s new plant.

In this pipeline of industrial expansion in Assam, the state is fortunate to have Reliance to back its economy and employment growth with dynamic futuristic plan of 2500 crore project investment with possibility of more than 80,000 plus job openings.


But the bottom line is that is Assam youth geared up with required skills to grab these big opportunities?  It depends on State’s Skill Development Department to drive youngsters to grab such big opportunities by ensuring proper training arrangements for them. Recently in this drive of skill development, Assam Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary has promised of successful placement of certified trainees during Indian Oil sponsored programme at Janta Bhavan.
