Battered By Flood Assam Tourism Takes New Wings For Greater Changes Through World Bank Aid


Peak of flood ravages to Tourism sectors in 2018, 
Assam has now a smile to add with World Bank’s financial aid initiative to accomplish various development projects that secures and bring exposure to the beauty of the land to drive in more tourists globally.

Assam is lucky that for the first time in India such financial initiative will be provided by an international finance institution and aid in Rs 732 crore for strategic eco tourism development projects of state tourism department.

It is in broader prospect that the Assam government is determined to work out with state's tourism department's development plans to drive in tourist inflow from neighboring countries like China, Korea and Japan with the financial aid from World Bank. Last year 2017 assessment report Assam Tourism accounted 1.69 lakh tourist visitors inflow and greater employment opportunities.
