First time in northeast solar power project is assigned for a period under Solar Power company SECI (SOLAR Energy Corporation Of India) to a state university of Northeast where Tripura is privileged to be the one.
This mega solar power project is a major initiative of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) with support of SECI. Though Manipur and Tezpur university had installed solar power project beforehand Tripura but is not for an assigned duration.
Tripura’s this mega solar power plant initiative of 500-kilowatt peak (KWP) in Tripura University premise had been made in the attempt to build eco-friendly green campus environment.
