Demonetisation bears heavy impact on poll contestants where Congress of
Tripura fears loss in 2017 battle and in observation of this about 1,500 plus Congress
activists raised civil disobedience movement to fulfill 12-point demands but as
a consequence landed up in jail.
The Congress party activists in various parts of Tripura including its
senior leaders were locked up by police as violence in between them erupted where
security personnel bore minor injuries.
The opposition party Congress made this mass move against the government in
