Health Mission Indradhanus To Counteract Annual 8-10 Lakh Affected Indians and 1 Lakh Tripura Death Toll


Under Prime Minister’s initiative the ‘Mission Indradhanus’ which has been launched to counteract the growing issue of fatal rotavirus disease in major parts of India like Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Assam including highly affected Tripura with annual figure of 8-10 lakh alone, four vaccines included in this centre based health programme according to Union Health Minister J P Nadda.


Severity of rotavirus disease scenario in Tripura is that about 1 lakh dies annually due to its infection where for effective diagnosis of the disease four vaccines are provided under centre’s ‘Mission Indradhanus’ apart from immunization programme to restore the health of the affected children and encephalitis infected.
