Talented and imaginative
narrators of Northeast can fetch their dream of exposinge their skills in
better limelight by joining at ‘Storytelling - Graphic Narrative’
competition that is to be conducted by You & I - Arts Cafe at Pine Air
Shillong, Fuller Road Mawroh, Shillong on 20th Jan in 2017.
Last year on September 2016 talented
kids aged from five years participated in 3 hours
storytelling Burhi Aair Xadhu (Grandma's Tales) competition where
candidate’s modulation was counted while narrating their story in voice.
This competition which was judged by noted personalities of literary
background like Mitra Phukan and Indrani Deb who emphasized such
competition to encourage children to speak fluently and in articulate
manner. Simple and natural follow with lively style what the competitors
were asked to narrate in this competition.
Comparatively the Shillong based ‘Storytelling - Graphic Narrative’ is about
bringing comic style of narration alive by allowing competitors to speak
their mind in visual. It might appear more tricky for competitors without any
art inclination but talented artist with the power to narrate are most
welcomed to this competition of narration in the heart of Northeast, Shillong.
