Digital Assam BY 2021 Possible?

No doubt Assam’s greater economic growth depends on people earning from natural resources by farming, weaving, soil product merchandising and others due to lack of industries so recently the government has planned to digitize such revenue rural areas and expressed effective of such programs at the venue of NICT (Northeast Information and Communication Technology), Guahati.

In this rural development and digital mission effective of digital clubs for IT solution for faster monetary and business process will be made according to Himanta Sarma. Greater economic benefit to the state and rural people will be made feasible through installation of digital program in possible 25,000 plus revenue villages by 2021 according to Chief Minister Sonowal.

Farmers will garner double the benefits with implementation of Rs 30,000 corer IT activity mega mission in rural Assam, Himanta specified, "Under the mission we want to double our farmers' income in five years for which we are activating IT initiatives in all the revenue villages of the state.”

Initial expenditure of Rs. 3,000 corer will be made on e-gram connectivity from this big budget digital India program according to Finance and Development Minister of the state, Himanta noted, "Under mega mission, we will spend Rs 30,000 corer, of which at least Rs 3,000 corer will be spent on e-gram. We will come out with a mission statement in two months' time." End point is that there should strong collaborative work between the government and the private sector to bring effectiveness of this digital literacy campaign.

Challenges of establishing electronic mode of working in rural areas is far from possible because simple people of rural areas are realized to be quite headstrong in accepting modern transformation and quite slow in adapting to changes. This five years plan may be appealing but in reality it may require 2021 plus years for materializing the dream.
