Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prema Khandu distressed by the continued devastation by flood and landslides in the state emphasized that cost does not
matter but solution do to stop river’s
abnormal ravage.
Flood followed by
landslides have not yet pacified despite existent petrified condition of the
people in Arunachal state to which Chief Minister Prema Khandu demanded for futuristic
effective solution that does not allow such scenario to repeat.
According to Khandu
whatever the cost lies best technology has to be implemented to avert rivers from changing courses and
affecting low-lying areas. It is the low lying areas and hilly areas where
incessant rain caused worst ravages.
Efforts to tame river
courses will be made according to Khandu who called upon the water resources
department officials to evaluate solution with specialized firms in river
piping. To control raising water from
inundating adjacent areas and triggering erosion at present embankment by
installing 2 km river piping.
Stability has not
reached in flood affected areas of Arunachal Pradesh where CM Khandu has
directed for more medical team including necessary materials arrangement to
safeguard the affected, estimating trigger in spread of diseases.
