This area of North eastern region of India along with
many other neighboring states have become a soft target for drug peddlers due to lack of
security and social involvement to find
out solid solution to curb the evil.
But this time Mizoram
Government is on to make an austere move through joint effort with Central YMA where
recently an agreement has been signed in between them.
In this major fight
against social evil even Mizoram’s voluntary organizations have joined hands to ease the operation without
any monetary benefits to which the government praised such bodies for
their assistance in this mission against
drug overpower.
In the vision to make
a healthy state the government has initiated Rs. 30 lakh to drive this mission
effectively. Compromise won’t be made by Government whether rich or poor if one convicted
in spreading this social evil.

Narcotics Minister R Lalzirliana praised the pro-active initiatives made by the voluntary organizations and State Police body to curb drug and narcotics peddlers.
