Assured growth in
animal husbandry category estimated by the Lok Sabha while passing the bill to
include Nagaland under the jurisdiction of Imphal Central Agriculture
University (CAU).
This is a big
challenge to achieve higher growth in animal husbandry sector on to which
Minister of State for Agriculture Sudarshan Bhagat with encouraging note added,
"The government is fully committed to the development of the north-eastern
region of the country.” The 2016 Amendment Bill was introduced by Sudarshan
Bhagat the Minister of State for Agriculture.
Endorsement of the amendment in accordance to the clause of
Central Agricultural University Act (CAU), 1992, to add Nagaland under the
jurisdiction of CAU, Imphal was made by the Cabinet on 27th July.
The current young
generation of Nagaland should contribute in such remote development plan as the
present response is not intense stated Sudarshan though realizing the entire fault is
not with them. As for past 20-21 years Nagaland was deprived of agriculture and
allied education privileges which made this state far backward according to
Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh. But now changes will be made on
previous law for better promo and development of Nagaland Agri sector.
