The Assam Chief Minister Sonowal who recently paid
visit on the 2nd day of Karbi Anglong Festival proposed development
process in the district to make it as strong economic backbone of the state as it has
potential resources to expose and invest upon for productivity.
Karbi Anglong is
growing but needs proper direction by helping it to develop proper
infrastructures for small to large scale industries to utilize its rich natural
resources to meet the necessity of the people. Emphasized its people to be a
potential player in driving the state and equivalently the nation at large
scale, Sonowal gave his visual perspective on his Karbi Anglong futuristic
development plan.
The ongoing cultural
festival of Karbi Anglong at the Srimanta Sankardeva International Auditorium,
Sonowal best wishing the people for their integrity and contribution towards
Assamese society mentioned that the budget which he has set for the district
will aid in all those development process relating to road construction for
proper regional network, complete Assam University campus for resume of
full-fledged activities, set up proposed medical college and a DIE.
Sonowal added that
Karbi Anglong has all the potentialities to map it as the desired tourism destination of India for which the government
will support in required development process
for its tourism sector.
