Monetary Demands On Rise On Social Media

The users of Whatsapp and Facebook have faced demands of money, asking to call up the known person. To this the Commissioner of Guwahati Police Diganta Baruah has urged not to fall for prey to such mails at any social media. Such social media fraudster observed to send fake message from a publicly known account.

Send friend request from known social media account holder to open up the mind of the targeted user at such platforms. If a user wants to make monetary transaction, then first verify the validity of the account holder by making call to the person and find out the authenticity of the demand according to Commissioner of Guwahati Police Baruah.

Health Product Millet Launched In Assam, Morigaon

In the wake up call for health, model millet project has been launched, marking the International Year of Millet by NABARD, Morigaon in association with KVK (Krishi Vigan Kendra) and Somala Mahila Sangha  at Pub Barbhugia village at 150 bighas.

In this advantage of millet project more than 25 self help groups have come forwarded. This model millet project will be implemented in 23 districts of Assam where people will be trained on processing, marketing linkage and production of the crop. CBSE Students Can Be Booked Under Unfair Means Activity

Students appearing for CBSE class 10 and 12 exam if found guilty of any Unfair Means (UFM) activity for using restricted electronic items like mobile, Chat GPT and others, to set fair examination by the Central Board of Secondary Education board.

Electronic devices have eased communication, so as in giving exams as the exam authority CBSE detected that artificial intelligence like Chat GPT and LLM have advanced techniques in generating text on the inputs entered in the device. Even action against fake videos and message upload culprit  will be taken under Unfair Means (UFM).

Sootea, Mornoi River Pose Garbage Threat

Lack of professional and scientific process in  Jmurighat, Sootea town’s garbage dumping system at Mornoi river has caused matter of concern as this practice of the Sootea Town Committee is not only a threat to the environment and health but also to the existence of the river.

People protest that the waste dumping ground by the river Mornoi should be shifted as it is minimizing its size. Installation of dustbin system in the Sootea town by the people is demanded. There is no follow up of Assam Urban Solid Waste Management Policy under Swachh Bharat Mission due to which the bank of the river connecting Sootea New Centre and Old Centre has become a disgusting site, dispelling the foul smell and pollution of the garbage far and wide.

Smuggled Medicinal Value Areca Nuts Of Heavy Amount Seized By Assam Force

Illegally smuggled Areca Nuts worth Rs 39.20 Lakh from Mizoram base Maulkawi, Chamhai was successfully captured by Serchipp Battalion of 23 Sector under the Inspector General Assamm Rifles (East).

Areca Nuts smuggling has become often menace for Mizoram where on recent operation by Assam Rifles on tip off an information  handed over a huge smuggled stock of about 70 bags. Assam Rifles handed over the smugglers and the seized Areca Nuts to the Custom department, Champhai for further legal action.

Gauhati High Court Instruct Action Against Deteriorating Food Quality

Based on the quality report by the All India Network Project on Pesticide Residues under the ICAR, the Guahati High court has instructed the state Health Department to look into the matter on pesticide and heavy metal residues in food commodities.

 An expert committee to be held by the Assam Health Department to garner details on malignant food processing in the state where soil quality will be looked into for future safety of the consumers. All India Network Project on Pesticide Residue (AINPPR) under the ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research) has collected samples soil, tea leaves, vegetables, water etc from various farming destinations for quality check under the instruction of the High Court to the petition filed against deteriorating food production.

Rhino's Surprise Visit To Golaghat Villagers Injures Many And Hospitalized 4

First time surprise visit by a rhino got recorded in camera that marched towards a flock of people in Golaghat district of Assam, where most got injured due to fear, confusion and unprepared where to flee, and severely injured four who had to be hospitalized, .

Even a forest personnel was injured by the sudden visit of the one horned visitor according to Golaghat village people. There is another incident of Rhino's attack in Dergaon also.
