Illegally smuggled Areca Nuts worth Rs 39.20 Lakh from Mizoram base Maulkawi, Chamhai was successfully captured by Serchipp Battalion of 23 Sector under the Inspector General Assamm Rifles (East).

Areca Nuts smuggling has become often menace for Mizoram where on recent operation by Assam Rifles on tip off an information  handed over a huge smuggled stock of about 70 bags.
